Snack
Bar Leader(s) - 1 to 2 families needed to lead one
of our most important fundraising positions of the summer:
the snack bar coordinator(s) orders the items and refreshments
to be sold at the home meet snack bar; arranges orders
of pizza, donuts and jamba juice (other families do
the actual pick up); maintains the family volunteer
food binder; and runs the snack bar at time trials and
home meets, including set up and take down. This position
was handled masterfully last summer and last summer's
coordinator has left us with handy guidelines and instructions
for a smooth take over. There are only 3 home meets
this year plus time trials, but this position exempts
you from all other volunteer obligations for the summer.
Awards ceremony coordinator - 1 family needed
to coordinate the last event of the season to help organize
the ordering and distribution of medals and trophies;
organize the pot luck buffet; and present a slide show
(exemption from 4 of 7 obligations for the season)
Auction Co-chairs - coordinate a team of volunteers
for our biggest fundraiser of the season to take place
on June27th. Ooversee solicitation of auction items
and posting of items for our new online auction; coordinate
theme development/decoration, catered dinner, beverages
and entertainment for the actual event (exemption
from all other obligations for the season)
Assistant Volunteer Coordinator - works closely
with this year's volunteer coordinators with the plan
to serve as next year's chief volunteer coordinator;
this is a board position for the following year (beginning
Sept 2009 for 2010 season, board meets once a month);
assistant volunteer coordinator will assume responsibility
at Feb registration and will mostly help with list transcription
and name badge typing for meets (exemption from all
other volunteer obligations)
